I tried this and I found it to be great fun and the blocks are beautiful. I am going to make a template so I can center faster. I didn't find the ironing difficult at all and the blocks go lightening fast. One question I have, though, is weight. If I were to make a queen size quilt, would the extra fabric in the seams make a heavier quilt? Would I then use a very light batting? I am running my blocks to my local quilt shop to show them off.
