Default Used & New machine needles storage etc...

I was getting ready to do some sewing today, but I needed to change
the needle I had been using yesterday which was a Universal 100/16
for the heavier fabric/thread.

In my search for the correct needle type & size I realized I had way
more than I originally thought I had.

So I was trying to think of a good way to store, sort, and label them for
quick identification.

This is what I came up with.

The container is from the Crisco sticks shortening. At one point
when I had used all three sticks I washed (thoroughly), and
saved the container with the lid.
I found the packs of needles fir perfectly in them. I also used the
the small sticky flags to identify each type & size of needles. Such
as the 70/10 Sharps, 90/14 Sharps, 90/14 Quilting etc...

I always KNEW these little Crisco containers would come in handy
today I found it. Just wish there was more lids included.

On another but still about needles. Something that I have always
done (when I can remember) is when I take a need out mark the
flat side with a bright (red usually) sharpie, than put it back into
the needle pack and write "used" so that I can remember the info
about the needle (type, size etc).

Just thought I would share.
