I did this once, thought it was a genius thing to do. After about 2 hours of NEVER getting up out of the chair, though, I couldn't stand up straight and my rear end was killing me! Now I leave the ironing board where it belongs and get up and down as needed, and now sewing isn't nearly the pain in the butt that it was that night!
