I own a Husqvarna Diamond Royale and it sews sideways. It is a good feature. I'm sure there are lots more for me to learn about this machine, I just traded up from the Diamond to the Diamond Royael. I love the Husqvarna Machines and I also have a Husqvarna Serger. I also own a Elna 740 and it is a great Machine as well. There are many great machines out there, it is just your preference of what you are looking for. I have a friend who just boughet the new 15000 Janome and it is awesome but not my preference.
