Great quilts! I like the Greek Key design border on the one next to the appliqué one too. The best of show does look like QAYG but it might also be one of the machine embroidery programs that is in squares that you assemble.
I can only say that the squares around the inner border were definitely pieced. it was just too high up to see other details - like if the center medallion border was pieced...but there was embroidery in the borders.
