when I wanted a quilt for a math major, I did one with numbers in the form of the long list of PI. You could use a dollar sign and a long list for a billion dollars or something like that. I got the pattern and found it really easy to use. Gives three sizes of numbers.

Or do a quilt with block done in words like 1040,tax return, auditing, partner, money, figures, etc. They could be paper pieced, appliqued, wonky free hand, etc. Do it in black and white with touches of green and red.
