I don't use pins or glue. Finally discovered that if I align the seams with the top seam nestled ahead of the bottom piece, the machine will feed over the seam perfectly about 90% of the time. The other ten percent is probably me trying to go too fast! I imagine one would need to test their own machine to find its magic alignment! Good luck
