Here's a thought: we had a speaker at our guild that said if she didn't like the stark white in a quilt, she would put the whole thing in the washer with Rit dye (tan) and tone it down to a more off white color. Of course it will dye the entire quilt somewhat, but it gives it a subtler color overall. Worth a try if you don't like it now.
This is a good idea. Looks like all the fabric came from the same "line". You can use tea or coffee also. Thy that on some of your leftover really small scraps, and see what that looks like.
But I like it as is, too.
