T-shirt cotton binding?? That's something I never would have thought of. I'm a little new so I've only domed basic (probobly too thin for a beginner) binding on potholders and quilt birth. I'm really scared if stretchy knits, but I know I saw a million adorable tee shirt prints in the baby section at the thrift store. How does it work? Is it harder than standard quilt fabric? Why did you choose it?
I chose the t-shirt fabric for the binding because it was the "right" color! I cut it crosswise (stretchy) and handled it like bias cut woven fabric. I have not used stretchy knits in the main part of a quilt yet.
