Although it does occasionally attempt to run away from me, my nose has thus far served me well! You'd be surprised what can be detected, by sniffing a Secret Santa gift! Is there dark chocolate, within . . . or perhaps a lovely herbal/woodsy-scented candle? Never underestimate the power of the nose!
The only drawback is that my nose is also sensitive to offensive odors.
