I can answer that - you can use the 200 for quilting. Personally I would read the manual get comfortable with it and then check into some classes. I have a friend who just recently purchased a 200E (with the embroidery) and a ton of accessories and she only paid $1,000. There is a Bernina store at Coit and George Bush (in the Central Market shopping center) If you were standing out in front of CM and look across the parking lot there is a small strip of stand alone shops, they are in there. If you decide you want a different machine definitely sell it yourself - you get next to nothing on trade-ins. But there is nothing that a 5 series will do that you can't do with your 200.
