I learned on a heart and started about 2 inches from the bottom point and went from there. I just looked on internet and see lots of references. I can tell some are different but they refer to a book by Jo Morton. It is possible that is where the lady that taught me got it. She didn't say. Good luck. I especially like because in flowers and such you can cut away overlap excess as you go.
