That’s just it. They ARE real Singers. And they’re of a “vintage” design. The company making them is the Singer Company, or at least the branch of the Singer Company that now owns the rights to make this model.
I noticed one photo showed a tag on the machine that said “15NL”. That’s the model number of the machine, and it shouldn’t be of any surprise to a buyer that it’s a more recent model of the Singer 15.

Not the first time I've been wrong. I knew they were real Singers but I was thinking more like a re-issue. I didn't know that production never stopped.
It's too bad they've fallen so far.
