Sounds like you have plenty of possibilities listed causing your bent rulers. My rulers hang on a hook and have no sun/heat problems. Your room is awesome. I have a 4x4 pegboard above my cutting table but you can no longer see the pegboard because it is so full but couldn't live without it!!!
