Mine is a Black & Decker cheapy. I don't put water in it--Problem solved. I use a spray bottle if I need steam. I got tired of spitting irons and spending a fortune to replace them. This iron has lasted at least 3 years and I only paid $9.00 for it at WalMart. It's still going strong. Hope I didn't just jinx myself!!
