Wink Rust Remover works great. Only takes a little bit and the rust comes right out. I think I bough mine at the grocery store in the laundry aisle.
Be careful with the Wink. The wife of my dh's co-worker accidentally spilled some of it on their tile floor in the kitchen, permanently damaging the tile. They ended up replacing the entire floor.
