Wow - so many ideas and beautiful patterns to choose from. Thank you to all for the suggestions. I'm not sure which pattern to go with yet but several look like they could work for this project and are doable by me! There is a quilt show near me this weekend so I'm going to look for some inspiration/focus fabric for this quilt while I'm browsing and to get me started.
