Shadow Box/Illusion Quilt - Big Stitch
Since there have been recent posts about Missouri Star's Illusion Quilt, I decided to post a picture of my wildlife shadow box quilt finished last spring. It is made the same way as the illusion quilt except that there is horizontal sashing instead of making the sashing part of the block. I think the effect is the same.
My quilt is done with "big stitch" quilting, and I have used wool batting. I enjoyed making it, but it did take quite a long time to do the hand stitching.
