Stitchnripper, you're right about the Gees Bend quilts .... and they were beautifully utilitarian!
Nativetexan, those are some pretty quilts. I have not tried bordering rag quilts with a regular border, as on the pink/brown/yellow quilt .... something I'll have to do next time. Great suggestions here!
