I am delighted that I managed to inspire you! I learned so much making this quilt as many of the blocks were new to me. The book gives cutting directions but for more detailed piecing instructions I used a blog that I stumbled upon when looking for help online: http://lillianscupboard.wordpress.com/
Lillian followed the original BOW and posted piecing instructions on her own blog. You can search for the individual block names on her blog home page. It was incredibly helpful when I wasn't sure how to tackle certain blocks. If you are a more experienced piecer you won't need it, but I sure did!

I also picked a few blocks from Barbara Brackman's original 2011 blog posts in favour of some the blocks in the book (not all the blocks on the blog are in the book, and vice versa). If you scroll way down her home page there is a link to the 2011 block of the week in the left column: http://civilwarquilts.blogspot.com.au/

Have fun - I hope you really enjoy the project.
