Red and White Friendship. Nine patch
I made this quilt for a very good friend who got me to make my first quilt and that was 10 years + now. She is the only quilter I know that doesn't have a quilt on her own bed so for her 50th birthday I made her a quilt. We don't live in the same area any more so it was a great surprise for her. A classic number. She loved it and was completely surprised. She also doesn't label her quilts so I made sure I did a nice label and cross stitched it which used to be one of her passions. It is lovely, and also challenging to make a quilt for a fellow quilter but I know it will be loved.
