Cari - I believe those clips are the same as what you'll find in a 401 or 500 cabinet. Older cabinets had the wood routered and the machine sat on it, but with the 301 and newer, the base of the machine is such that it won't clear the wood support.
Right, I think they're in most of the cabinets that came after the the 301 was introduced. I've got 3 cabinets right now that have them, one had a 404 in it, the crappy one my 201 came to me in, and another I got without a machine in it. Oh, and the cabinet that's still in my car that the black 301 came in.
