I have this machine and the hook in the needle threader is very hard to see in real life, let alone a video...so I can understand! There is a small hook that goes through the eye of the needle and you have to catch it on your thread to pull it through. It goes through the eye of the needle much easier of your needle bar is at the highest position and your presser foot is down creating a little pressure on the top thread. I love Juki but the needle threader leaves a lot to be desired...it's probably my least favorite feature as it's just more of a pain than a help!
