Hi, Sheila. This one was super easy to cut and piece, which is what initially attracted me to the pattern (yeah, I can be lazy at times. :D ) It's all strip piecing, where you sew twelve 5" strips into a tube shape and then cross-cut them into 2.5" rows. You then pick apart a seam on every other color and also slice the middle of every other fabric, so that you end up with the alternating pattern. Then just sew those resulting rows together. So the whole thing as far as sewing is a bunch of long-running straight stitches.

I've got the embroidery machine loaned out to Melissa at the moment, as hers is in the shop being worked on. My little dinky embroidery machine is a big step down for her, but at least it sews so that she can continue getting something done. She made a bag for her bible this evening so that she can tote it to church, and has started on a jacket. She's always got some kind of project going as well.
