Sorry for your loss. When I was in my early 20's I purchased a 32 pc. set of crystal with a teardrop base, thought it was Tiffany crystal - but it was actually "Tiffan" crystal. Close. I was heartsick many, many years down the road when my son broke one of the wine goblets, as I don't know how or if I could ever replace it. I bought that along with a beautiful set of platinum edged china for good, but didn't have many "good" uses to use it, unfortunately. I think I will give the sets to our DD who recently got married in July, but she'll have to come get it out of her brother's attic where it went when we lost our house and had to move to a 2-bedroom apt., but don't know when she will ever come to MA to visit; but she had better bring her new husband as we have never met him.
