I used the flannel backed vinyl - sometimes you can get the tablecloth pretty cheap - I just wanted white, so I bought a couple yards at Joann's with a coupon. I don't remember how much, but definitely under $20. I cut them a little wide, wrapped it over the wire a did a quick running stitch down each side. Its working so far!
