I think it is great that the younger kids are being drawn to quilting, thanks to all the kind people who show them. I taught high school students to make a quilt in the 70's and 80's and am so happy to see how many are in the quilting world today. Such a nice connection for me all these years later. I also had a community service class at the middle school where I taught. They worked in groups to make lap quilts for the children's hospital. The last year I taught there were more than 50 lap quilts to take to Riley's Childrens Hospital in Indianapolis.
