That could be the one. Several years ago ( yes it's been a UFO that long), an older lady used to come to our quilting group and she was doing it. Sadly she no longer comes to quilt, so can't ask her. I know the top & bottom bindings are totally finished. Then you add the sides, it elimanates the mitered corners. I always get two mitered corners right & two are always kind of rounded. Guess I've got a right left brain thing happening. LOL.

Is it the type of binding where you sew it to the top and bottom edges of the quilt first, and then to the sides? I have seen that style in my older Debbie Mumm books. I don't know what it's called though.
