Default 4 piece binding

I don't know if it has a special name. It is an easier way to apply binding and doesn't even require bias binding, I believe. The trick is to leave enough extra on each piece to have enough to fold under so it will not slip out eventually. It also makes it easier to replace a section of binding that might wear excessively or get torn etc. I have been quilting for about 40 years and I am sure I have used it many times. It is much easier than getting just the right amount to make the turn around the edges of the quilt and a lot easier to pin etc.
