I have an old rival crock pot recipe book...Hearty Beef stew........3/4 pound stew meat cut into 1 inch cubes....1 potato diced...1 carrot sliced...1 small onion diced......1 can 14 1/2 ounce Whole tomatoes..2 Tbls quick cooking Tapioca...1 Bay Leaf...salt and Pepper... Trim all fat from meat. Put all ingredients in crock-ette Mix thoroughly. Cover and cook 10 to 12 hours.
