Jan congrats also to you. I have not worked since Dec 31,2013 and I love it. I still have a couple of former pts call me to say hello and a 93 yr old I visit in the nursing home. Funny thing, one of my brothers has a closed head injury and he told my niece that I say I am a nurse but I am not. He believes this, since I no longer work.
I think you are always a teacher, nurse, etc. whether you are still on the pay roll or not.
