No problem! (goodness, you have sharp eyes! :lol: )

We added the wood piece to raise the machine up because it wouldn't stay at the proper height to match the insert. Had to add a couple of thin metal washers on the side nearest me as shims to get the sewing arm completely flush, but it works.

I, too, had terrible problems with the machine moving around, particularly when I was sewing long strips (uh, probably faster than I should be...). So my DH drilled a hole in the shelf and the wood piece and added a long bolt that went through both to the hole on the bottom of the machine (for just that purpose).

Voila -- it's now steady as a rock. :thumbup:
