I just finished machine quilting a bed quilt using warm & plush (purchased on amazon.com). It is SO thick and fairly heavy as well.
I'm not sure if it is a factor of the size of the batting, but it was the most difficult project I've done so far in 10+ years of quilting and over a year of frame/machine quilting. I had far more thread breakage and skipped stitches than ever before in a quilt. I normally use warm & natural and don't have those problems generally.
As challenging as it was, the quilt is for my daughter's and as it is flannel on top & bottom with the extra thick batting - she is LOVING her new snuggly quilt.
Hoping to try the warm & plush on a smaller baby quilt and see if the problems persist.
