My DH and I went with friends that had been there before so we were able to follow their lead.....We took as many tours as we could, both day and night. Enjoyed them immensely. The docents are really knowledgeable. We ate at different taverns, many of which are no longer there, But I remember "Christina Campbell's as a nice one. while overpriced, was part of the experience. We were there in the mid 90's. Do everything you can and you'll never regret it. We, too, are seniors and there are plenty of places to rest. The docents seemed very much aware of the people in their groups. If you need to sit, just let the docent know...... She or He is not a mind reader.......We loved the history. It is a marvelous place and in today's hurry, hurry world, the pace seems so unreal. We loved it!!!
