If you don't already have ideas from your stash, pick up a cute panel in a children's theme--Frozen, for instance, and use flannel for the backing, machine quilt it, maybe applique her name on the front (or back) the quick iron-on two-sided pellon way. Three year olds don't care about the work, she will just love the quilt, and the mama will be so tickled that your care this much.
