Default Project Linus quilts for a local family

I am the the North Wales coordinator for Project Linus, which I love doing but I have a very local family who's has four children two of whom suffer from Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/ehlers-...roduction.aspx so I am busy making them some quilts, for all four as you can't leave any out now can you!

Tyler who has just turned 10, has ginger hair which suits his temperament so he is getting the skull and crossbones one. His older brother Jason, who is 12 and has EDS I am making an animal print and Pirates one in the same pattern, Fractions quilt, as it is so easy and fast to do. Ellie his youngest sister, who is 3 and also has EDS is getting the fairy one and her older sister Jodie who is 7 is getting the ballerina quilt. I hope they will like them.

How do any of you make Wheelchair quilts, as the Mum as asked to 2 for their wheelchairs, any tips or patterns would be greatly appreciated, as where we live we have cold winters and they will be needed.
