Default I quit resisting...

I have wanted to make a purple Bargello quilt ever since I started my first Bargello a year ago. I worry over fabric selection a lot, and I just haven't felt confident enough to go with the all-purple idea. I have made purple and blue, blue and yellow, teal and cream, and three brown/beige Bargellos, but I have not let myself....my purple loving self...go just with purple.

Well, I let myself start one. I didn't even worry over fabric selection like I usually do. I didn't ask everyone I know about fabric choices. I didn't ask everyone here on this board about fabric selection. I just listened to my "inner self" and went with it.

And I I already know I am going to really like this quilt. This is where I am, probably 1/5 done with the top. I am sort of following the Serenity Bargello quilt pattern, though I do intend to make mine about 12 inches wider than the pattern.

Anyway, here is where I am on the quilt I have been resisting doing... Feels good.
