I never quilt through the logos, especially the rubbery ones. My tension goes haywire the minute I do. Plus, leaving the logos unstitched allows them to "puff" out a little, which really puts an emphasis on them. If they're large logos, most of them have areas of un-rubbery fabric, which I'll stitch down. As far as the "dragging", if you're using a longarm, you may need to raise the foot a little. I usually raise mine about 2 dimes-worth of height. That keeps the foot from dragging the fabric as you stitch.
