The Amish ALWAYS put it a "mistake" in all their quilts as GOD is the only perfect person. I agree with the Amish and always have a "mistake" in my quilts.
I am also a "rescue collector" I hunt thrift stores, garage sales, rummage sales and dumpsters for quilt pieces and quilts. I feel that someone put their heart and soul into this creative outlet and have to honor them and their creativity I "rescue them" and hopefully someone will appreciate the finished product.
