Default Lap quilt made on vintage machines delivered today.

Hello all,

Well I delivered a lap quilt to my oldest daughter this morning and she was delighted. The materials were a combination of scrap, purchased and donated fabric. The blocks were donated by my sister who is a prolific quilter and is my go to for supplies when in a bind and no time to drive 50 miles for the items that are needed. Besides she is less than a mile down the road an is a virtual fabric store . The sewing was done on my vintage Ultrastitch 12 and Riccar machines. The binding, inner border and sashing are from scraps. The outer border and backing are from Hobby Lobby which stocks a limited amount in 104" wide bolts. At about $11.00 per yard and using a 40% discount coupon, it' a pretty good deal. The binding was hand sewn (like watching paint dry) and mitered corners are getting better. The quilting was done on a friends long arm. Hope you enjoy the pic.
