I don't think that is enough to keep from getting burned, but if you grab the tabs, you can get a really good hold on it to pass it at the table. I need to get to JoAnns to get the right batting. I'm thinking with the next one, I might use some Timtex on the bottom to give it more stability.
I heard that you can't use that insulbrite in the microwave..
