annie's attic bought "clotilde" when the owner, the real clotilde, passed away. it was a nice, tight, tidy site, with lots of "little secrets" for sewing folks, and quilting goodies, as well. they also had the "quilts and other comforts" catalog. i miss it.

here's some of the info: Fort Lauderdale, FL-based needlecraft catalog Clotilde’s Sewing Notions was acquired on April 9 by Berne, IN-based Dynamic Resource Group (DRG), a $75 million publishing, printing, and subscription and catalog fulfillment business.

Clotilde was founded in 1971 by Don and Clotilde Lampe, who also own quilt catalog Quilts & Other Comforts. Under the deal, which was handled by Atlanta-based Aegis Capital Advisors, LLC, Clotilde Lampe will continue to be spokesperson for the catalog and will remain closely involved in product selection. DRG has also retained Clotilde’s merchandising manager, Lee Ann Donathan, who has been with Clotilde for almost a decade.

DRG’s publishing division, which includes needlecraft catalog Annie’s Attic and quilting catalog House of White Birches, will now run Clotilde’s catalog operations. George Hague, DRG’s catalog marketing manager, will oversee Clotilde’s day-to-day operations. Stark Brothers Fulfillment Services in Louisiana, MO, now fulfills the catalog orders for Clotilde, but DRG plans to move fulfillment to its own company, Big Sandy, TX-based Strategic Fulfillment Group (SFG), before the end of the year.
