thank you so much! she is home and she is filthy but, believe it or not under all the dirt and grime, she sews. I am going t try and find out more about her...I was able to get the serial number. Now, to search a bit and find out what to clean her with.

Pic for Quiltwoman of 20x1 needle (1-3/4") which is roughly 1/4" longer than universal or 15x1 needle. The needle systems are very confusing. You can also try a 15x1 and lower it until the shuttle picks up the thread.
