The heart is an easy pattern....and one we have used frequently in our group ( quilts of valor ) . My mom made one in black and white that was stunning. It is just 6 inch blocks together and cut diagonally and placement ;) . This particular one was made by myself and my mom for a friend who is 84 and served in Word War II. The back is baseball as he played professional ball after leaving the military.
