Most new machines come with that little pack of Organ needles. For years I used Schmetz needle because that's what JoAnns sells. After Schmetz moved their manufacturing to India I noticed the quality isn't what it used to be. When I bought my first embroidery machine I started using Organ sharps because that's what my dealer sells and recommends and now I use them in all my machines. I buy my needles in bulk at http://www.allstitch.net The needle threader on my MC350e doesn't like Schmetz needles.

I don't understand the fascination with titanium needles. They are touted to be stronger so they won't break but to my thinking I'd rather have the needle break if there's a problem than have the needle cause damage to my machine because it didn't break. Needles are cheap, machine parts are not.
