I used your tute and didn't do the French seams, just sewed those corners down and found that it fit nicely over a tissue box. So the first one I made I just tore off the top of the box and left it in there for holding buttons. The next one I made I zigzagged a large circle in the center before I sewed the corners and then put it over a tissue box for the tissues to come out of the hole. My husband loves it and thinks it would be cute quick Christmas gifts for my co-workers. So far I have done 6 of them. I am finally using all those fat quarters I have been saving for a "rainy day".
