I cut the strips and was not able to get my fabric to work when cutting the 60 degree wedges for the ends. My fabric was a not a symmetrical repeat. I went into salvage mode and fussy cut wedges by centering one of the instruments on each wedge. This will finish up at about 20" across.
I didn't use that pattern but did one similar to that by following a youtube tutorial and it didn't work out to what I watched and had to adjust of course...The amount of fabric you need for the you tube tutorial is more than what she suggests and if you look at the amount she uses in the video it looks to be more than she mentions...
