It's runs $75-$100 around here, but that's usually applied to the service or repair. One shop that's closed now wanted $135 just to look at my serger. I said no thanks and traded a Singer 401 to someone else to service the Beast, an ancient 1982 Consew 94 Tuffylock. It was my first serger and I didn't know a thing about them at the time.
