This was just discussed on the Facebook Featherweight page. It was suggested that you cut a straw long enough to fit inside your spool of thread and then put it on the post. April1930s also sells a thread stand that fits inside an oil hole on your Featherweight to make it easier to use as well as the spool pin spring.
