Check your local thrift shops and flea markets. Better Homes and Gardens "Complete Guide to Quilting" is a good resources and their is a website Alibris.com that is really good and the books are really cheap. If you have local fabric store nearby and they have coupon sales you can get basic books. Just some suggestions to help happy quilting.
